Statement of Job: The University of Southern Maine (USM) in Portland, Maine announces its search for a Vice Provost for Mission and Accreditation. Reporting directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and assisting the Provost in all Provost Office initiatives, the Vice Provost stands in for the Provost when the Provost is unavailable. The Vice Provost serves as university liaison to its accrediting body NECHE and oversees all other university accreditations and program reviews as well as guiding the revision of university and departmental policies and procedures. The Vice Provost assists the Provost in producing regular and special academic affairs reports and communications, attends Faculty Senate and other standing university committees, and receives direct reports from academic affairs units as needed. The Vice Provost also assists the Provost in the implementation of the university mission and USM's four pillars of academic excellence, Vision 2028: https://usm.maine.edu/provost. Experience supervising employees
