A P ostdoctoral Scholar p osit io n i s a vai l able in the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology at the University of Nevada Reno, School of Medicine, to study the involvement of cholesterol and lipid metabolism in the p athogenesis o f inherited neuropathies. The ideal candidate will have a h igh level of independence in the design and execution of in vitro and in vivo e xperiments, the collection and analysis of data, and preparation of m anuscripts. Thorough knowledge in mo l ecu l ar and c el l u l a r b i o lo gy, and/or neuroscience i s essential. Excellent oral and written c ommunication skills, and a s trong record of productivity from previous training are necessa r y. Salary will be commensurate with years of experience and qualifications.
PhD in neuroscience, pharmacology, or molecular and cell biology obtained within the last 5 years
