Find your future with us. The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Systems Engineering Support Analyst to join the Maui Space Surveillance group located in Kihei, HI. Systems Engineer is needed on the Research and Development for Advanced Space Superiority Technology and Engineering (RASTER) Program, Maui Space Surveillance Site on Maui, HI.The selected candidate will support scientific research and development projects aimed at discovering / developing systems and advanced techniques for space situational awareness involving both imaging and non-imaging techniques. You will coordinate with a multidisciplinary scientific and engineering teams to verify system performance against the agreed upon requirements.You will have the opportunity to support Air Force Visiting Experimenters as necessary to achieve mission goals. Position Responsibilities:
Assists the engineering team in the development/design or assessment of optical/opto-electronic system/subsystem level engineering products.
Develops system requirements and participates in development/design or assessment of system/subsystem level engineering products.
Performs system analytical and performance studies; definition analysis; development of prototypes, subsystems and system tools; modeling and simulation and performs the development, integration, testing and evaluation, operation and support.
Performs all aspects of laboratory testing, including setting test goals, developing test methodologies, organizing and conducting tests, reducing test data and analyzing results.
Employs systems engineering methods such as model based engineering, requirements analysis, error budgeting, design synthesis, trade studies, fault tree analysis, risk modeling, root cause analysis and mitigation management.
Generates technical reports on findings, provides system data collection and analysis, and conducts technical documentation reviews.
Experience, Skills, Qualifications and Education:
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearances, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (Post Start).
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or related technical field
Must be Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Must be able to work above 10,000 feet.
Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
Hands on experience with electro-optical systems.
Proficient using MicroSoft Visio
Demonstrated competency in a laboratory environment.
Education Requirements:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
