Duties includes:

(1) Developing, conducting and first-line analysis of experiments in the context of industry-sponsored preclinical research studies;

(2) Helping accelerating the discovery and testing of novel therapeutic agents for the treatment of cancer stem cell-derived diseases, including myelodysplastic syndrome and acute myeloid leukemia;

(3) Working closely with the lead scientist, as well as the lab manager and facilitates all required activities pertaining to specific experiments, including but not limited to: ex vivo and in vivo modeling of cancer/leukemia initiation and progression, ex vivo and in vivo drug efficacy and safety testing, analysis of on and off-target specificity of therapeutic intervention, tissue/cell cryopreservation and banking, laboratory inventory, as well as ensuring the error-free day-to day operations and meeting of project milestones;

(4) Aiding in overseeing the training and work of junior team members (research trainees and junior technicians) and working with Professors regarding ongoing and future sponsored research projects.

Position requires Master’s degree in pharmacology or related field plus 5 year relevant work experience.
