A postdoctoral fellow position is available in Dr. Jianxiong Jiang laboratory, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work with Dr. Jiang in neuropharmacology and investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying neuroinflammation-associated conditions utilizing both pharmacological and genetic approaches. The study is also involved in the identification of molecular targets that are druggable for disease intervention. This postdoctoral fellow position provides multiple opportunities for career development in both academia and pharmaceutical industry for those who are interested in CNS drug discovery. Preference will be given to applicants with research experience in epilepsy and/or glioma and/or a degree in neuroscience, molecular pharmacology, biomedical sciences, or related field. Applicants with advanced skills in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, immunohistochemistry, and animal research are highly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential

Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in neuroscience, molecular pharmacology, biomedical science, or a related field.
