Job Description:

Assist the LAITS Technology Integration Team in the organization and coordination of all project-related information, planning, equipment procurement and installation scheduling.
From basic remodels to large multi-phase capital projects, the LAITS Technology Integration Team works closely with owners, project managers, and architectural designers, to shepherd complex technology projects through consultation, design, purchasing, construction, installation, and commissioning. Our staff also partner with end users and faculty to develop custom control system programming, interfaces, training, and documentation for over six hundred presentation and collaboration systems across campus. Our efforts ensure the successful use of technology to deliver over one hundred and fifty thousand hours of instruction each semester.

Job Details:


Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and assist with the purchase of multimedia equipment, computers, software, and services. Maintain purchase log with purchase order and online order data. Coordinate and communicate with requesters concerning shipping updates.
  • Coordinate and oversee equipment deliveries, manage/process communication and requests from students/staff/vendors, and answer telephone calls.

  • Oversee the scheduling of integration project work.

  • Assist with the management of inventory asset transfers and record keeping.

  • Interpret, edit and organize integration project documentation such as electronic schematics, architectural blueprints, and other diagrams. Attend specific project meetings to assist in documentation, develop awareness of project scopes and timelines in order support understanding of project equipment ordering, time keeping, billing, invoicing, receiving, information management/record keeping etc.

  • Assist the Director of Technology Integration and LAITS Admin Team as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • A professional and friendly manner with faculty, staff, students, and the public.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Accuracy in all phases of work.
  • Independently meet deadlines and complete duties.
  • Ability to collaborate in decision-making in complex team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office software, especially Word and excel, and computer operating systems.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Awareness or understanding of a variety of technologies and/or Audio Visual systems.
  • Experience working as part of a project focused team.
  • Experience with ordering, receiving and storage of equipment and supplies.
  • Experience maintaining and organizing complex interrelated information storage systems.


Salary Range

$35,000 + depending on qualifications

Environmental Demands:
