Job Summary

The Department of Psychology in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas is accepting applications for a Tenure System position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. We invite applicants with strong programs of research, and who have strengths in applying novel methodological or analytical approaches to their work. Area of research is open, but candidates who study adolescence and/or developmental psychopathology using sophisticated research techniques are particularly encouraged to apply.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Human Development, or related field, and will be expected to obtain and maintain a scientifically rigorous, extramurally funded research program. Preference will be given to applicants with clinical training, are license eligible and pursue clinically relevant programs of research. Although UT Dallas does not currently have a doctoral training program in Clinical Psychology, we are in the early stages of developing this program. Preference will be given to candidates with the initiative and experience to contribute to program development.

The successful candidate will be expected to actively engage in research and training activities within Department of Psychology in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences, including advising doctoral students, mentoring postdoctoral trainees, developing collaborative research programs, and teaching graduate and undergraduate students.

Minimum Education and Experience

An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline and a record of productivity and professional achievement.

Preferred Education and Experience

Earned doctoral degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Human Development and Family Studies or Clinical Psychology with evidence of scholarly contributions and ability to compete for extramural support in the field of psychology.
