The Department of Business Administration (BADM) in Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a position beginning Fall 2021, as an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice. The position is located on the OSU-Stillwater campus. The candidate would teach seven sections (or equivalent credit hours) per the Fall-Spring academic year. The faculty may also be asked to teach some online courses as appropriate.
The position is designed to cover a variety of classes so the candidate should expect to teach up to three course preps per year. Candidates will teach both the Career Planning for Business Success and the Professional Development for Business Success, plus either Interpersonal Skills or other BADM course.
The appointment is for three years and will be renewed based on maintenance of AACSB qualifications, teaching excellence, and collegiality.
Qualifications: Candidates can hold a terminal degree in business or an associated field although it is not required. Minimum requirements would include an MBA (or a Master’s degree in a business field) and at least five years of practical experience. Candidates should demonstrate teaching excellence and a commitment to offer a range of courses. Candidates must be academically qualified upon the start date and must maintain qualifications for reappointment. The successful candidate will be able to work in a collegial environment and interact well with undergraduate students.
