Position Summary

The Center for Integrative Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery at UNC-CH invites highly skilled and motivated biochemists who are interested in expanding or deepening their skills, including assay development and chemical biology methods, to apply for this position. The postdoctoral associate will become a member of multidisciplinary teams in an environment where his/her knowledge of protein biochemistry, small molecule screening, biophysics, and hit validation will play a key role in advancing chemical biology and drug discovery projects. Specifically, this position will focus on the characterization of high-quality in vivo chemical probes on under-explored Alzheimer’s Disease targets that can advance understanding of the pharmacologic intervention points most likely to lead to new drugs for this disease.

Educational Requirements

Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or related field of study.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified applicants must have extensive experience in protein biochemistry, cellular and biochemical assays, and signaling pathways.
