Position Summary

The primary roles for the selected candidate will be to complete preregistrations for manuscripts, perform data analysis (e.g., fMRI, traditional statistics, eye tracking) and generate and assist with the write-up of scientific manuscripts/perform presentations at research conferences. These duties will include self-generated hypotheses, assistance to the PI as well as doctoral students. The candidate will also perform/assist in data QC (cleaning/organization).

The selected may be asked to assist in day-to-day study functions (i.e., recruiting, screening, scheduling and conducting assessments), ensure that IRB approved guidelines and progress reports are met and maintained, and ensure the accurate and consistent collection of data as outlined in study protocols.

Educational Requirements

Candidates should have earned a PhD (within the last 8 years) in, psychology, nutrition, neuroscience or a closely related field.

Qualifications and Experience

Individuals should have a strong record of productivity in research (performing data analysis, presentations and publications). Competitive applicants will display two or more of the following skills and experiences: research dissemination (publications, presentations, grant submissions); programing fMRI analysis (FSL, fMRIprep, nilearn, nypipe) and paradigms (psychopy); statistical programing (R, SAS); experience in eye tracking data collection and analyses, experience in clinical settings (e.g., in-person data collection), and/or data management/cleaning.
