STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE OF THIS ROLE

This role is to be held by a hard-working, results-driven individual with the balance of education, and relevant and proven successful work experience. Experience, combined with a strong passion for the vision, and mission, and goals of City of Refuge is critical to success in this role. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for all areas relating to Human Resources, Payroll Preparation and Personnel Reporting for the organization. The role will directly report to the VP of Finance & Human Resources while also working collaboratively with the entire team of the City of Refuge. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of other activities beyond a task list of assigned duties. The role will work closely with the VP of Finance on various ad-hoc assignments, and other responsibilities.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. This role is essential in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that our HR practices align with the overall business strategy. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of HR processes, and the ability to implement effective HR strategies that support our organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including HR sourcing and onboarding of new employees.
  • Manage employee benefits administration and payroll functions.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and provide feedback to promote professional growth.
  • Collaborate with management on strategic planning initiatives related to workforce development.
  • Utilize HR software systems such as Paycom, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, and Kronos for efficient HR operations.
  • Manage social media platforms for employer branding and recruitment purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while maintaining company policies.
  • Oversee preparation of all personnel and human resources reports including but not limited to Headcount, Grant Reports, and more.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role in human resources.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, including benefits administration, payroll processing, and employee evaluation.
  • Familiarity with HR software systems such as UltiPro, PeopleSoft, and Kronos is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and organizational development.
  • Experience in training development and implementation is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities to support the mission and vision of the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
