Job Title: Early Learning / Preschool Coordinator
Branch: Upper Main Line YMCA

Shifts/Availability: Full Time Exempt
Salary: $38,000-$45,000/ year
Sign on Bonus: $2000

About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.
POSITION SUMMARY:  Assume leadership role, including administrative, programmatic, and delivery of early learning programs in accordance with YMCA quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Support in training and supervising program staff.
• Serve as part of the early learning leadership team.
• Willingness to grow and develop into future leadership opportunities and promotions.
• Manage regular staffing patterns and assist with call outs and ratio needs.
• Assure compliance and adherence with all YMCA, state licensing and STARS documentation and program requirements.
• Lead and support with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program.
• Communicate effectively and timely with program participants and parents including regular newsletters, special events and incidents as needed.
• Support in completing regular safety audits and education program quality reviews and observations.
• Perform any duties deemed necessary by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or the Human Services field OR
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, including 30 credit hours Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or the Human Services field and one year experience with children OR
• Associates degree with a minimum of 3 years experience
• Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Must keep an up-to-date PA DHS file with a current physical
