Full job description

The Student Activities Coordinator will develop, coordinate and implement student leadership and activities programming.The individual will be working with a dynamic and diverse student population at Minneapolis College. The individual in this position will lead the effort to advise our Student Clubs and will provide a comprehensive leadership development program for students. They will find new and innovative ways to build community. The individual in this position is also responsible for advising Student Senate, the Campus Student Association recognized by Minneapolis Community and Technical College, as well as supporting the campus’ chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. This individual is also charged with being a team member within Student Life.

This position may be eligible for partial telework per the Minneapolis College’s Telework Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience and/or education in related areas such as advising, Student Life, student programming and etc..
  • Ability to conduct student program planning, organization and administrating multiple activities with deadlines
  • Ability to monitor budget expenditures
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with the internal and external communities, groups and individuals
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals and groups of students using a variety of communication methods such as presentations, workshops, face-to-face, and virtual
  • Ability to use analytic reasoning to identify alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
  • Computer skills, advanced knowledge of MS office suite, e-mail, and internet.
  • Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency. Incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities

Salary Range: $22.61 – $32.71 hourly/ $47,210 – $68,298 annually
